FCL recognizes that the government is the only entity capable of providing care and education services to the vast number of children in India. Therefore, we focus on influencing large-scale systems like anganwadis, government preschools, and schools to improve the quality of care and education they provide.
FCL’s work is making a significant impact on the lives of children across India. By working with government agencies, building leadership capacity, conducting research, and engaging communities, FCL is transforming early childhood care and education in India.
What we doFCL’s work reaches lakhs of children in multiple states in India. We do this by building pedagogical and organisational leadership capacities at multiple levels across large government systems of child development and education. This helps the officers and frontline workers/ teachers facilitate their teams in delivering nurturing care and learning with meaning to the children in their care.
